https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15M8YkF7gB/ TRACHOMA TRANSITION PLANS VALIDATION WORKSHOP This evening we have concluded an intensive 2-day workshop attended by health departments from Embu, Kitui, Baringo, Turkana & West Pokot Counties; and representatives from ministries of health in Ugandan & Kenyan Governments. The main objectives included; ✅Review of our collective progress & gaps in trachoma elimination ✅Share key highlights from Kenyan & Ugandan transition journeys, ✅Discuss county level resource allocation to sustain elimination efforts ✅ Present innovative & sustainable approaches to support elimination ✅ Validate county trachoma transition Plans and agree on the next steps I'm happy to report that as Embu County we are on course to achieve total elimination well ahead of the global deadline of 2030.
