SCREENERS TRAINING ON PEEK TECHNOLOGY:SEH (SCHOOL APPROACH)
This afternoon, the CHMT led by Chief Officer Medical Services Kisilu Benjamin C.O and Chief Officer Public Health Nthiga Henry opened a 2 day training session at Mavvel Hotel by Vision Impact Project Kenya (VIP-K).
The project broadly aims at improving access to eye care services across primary,secondary and tertiary levels through systems strengthening and use of PEEK technology to enable screening for school community.
The VIP-K project will help the Embu County Government in fulfilling its promise of providinv equitable development and wellbeing for all and more so ensuring the poor and vulnerable get access to high quality eye health services.
The implementation has been ongoing in Embu West Sub-County where eye health screening is being done at household level and later proceed to Kiangima Primary School where they will kick start the school Community approach.
