📢 *Public Notice to Publishers* As per *Section 12* of the *Press and Registration of Periodicals Act, 2023* , all publishers must submit their *Annual Statement* on the *Press Sewa Portal* by *31st May each year* ( _Extension has been provided this year, till 30th June 2025_ ). 🛑 Many have failed to comply, leading to classification as " *Defunct Periodicals* ". Under *Section 11(d)* , failure to submit the annual statement within 2 years for the end of the financial year for which the annual statement was to be furnished empowers the Press Registrar General *to suspend or cancel registrations.* 🛑 Publishers in the defunct category must now submit their ' *Publication Continuity Certificate* ' (Advisory No. 11 of 2025) *within 3 months (from the issue of this Advisory), to avoid suspension of their registration* .
