From the vibrant quarters of Tukuntawa in Kano State, to lecture halls and advocacy platforms across Nigeria, Ambassador Abdussalam Haruna Sulaiman is proof that dedication and consistency are essential ingredients in the power-menu of youth leadership. Born on March 3 in Kano, Abdussalam’s journey has been marked by intentional learning, with a special focus to youth development. Abdussalam Haruna Sulaiman began his educational journey at Tukuntawa Special Primary School (2002–2007), continued at Government Secondary School Sabuwar (2007–2013), and later graduated from Yusuf Maitama Sule University (2015–2020), driven by a conviction to serve society beyond the classroom. Today, Abdussalam wears several humanitarian hats, some of them include: Abdussalam as a - Development Worker, Lecturer, and most notably, the Executive Director at the Network for Youth Enlightenment and Development (N-YED) since 2022. Under his leadership, N-YED has grown as a platform for empowering young Nigerians through education, skills training, civic engagement, and enlightenment on national and global development agendas. His leadership influence extends to his role as Deputy Coordinator of the YALI Network Kano since 2024, where he continues to connect youth with transformative leadership opportunities across Africa. Recognized for his contributions to nation-building, Abdussalam is the recipient of prestigious honors, including: SDGs 3 & 8 Ambassadorship Award (2023); Media and Information Literacy Ambassador (2023), and Youth Advocate Award (2023).
