Nigeria: NNPC says it records N748 billion profit after tax in April 2025 The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) reported a profit after tax of N748 billion ($623.3 million) in April 2025, according to its Monthly Financial and Operational Report released on Thursday, June 12. The report also indicated a total revenue of N5.89 trillion ($4.91 billion) for the same month. The figures were shared via the state owned energy company’s official X handle, showing that crude oil and condensate production stood at 1.56 million barrels per day (MMBOPD), down from 1.67 MMBOPD in January. Natural gas production, however, rose to 7,473 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCF/D) from 7,120 MMSCF/D recorded in February. In the report, NNPC stated that statutory payments made for the first quarter of 2025 amounted to N4.225 trillion ($3.52 billion). It also noted that all production figures were provisional, unaudited, and only covered NNPC operated assets, excluding reports from independent operators supervised by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). . . . #energyinafrica #nigeria #nnpc #profit #tax #nurpc #oilandgas #energy #africa
