_*Exhortation Pills: Prayer Is a Great Anchor*_ _✍️ By Rev. Stephen Dadedzi_ _🗓️ Day 167 (16/Jun/2025)_ > ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Philippians 4:6 NKJV Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Just as ships drop anchor to remain steady amid turbulent waters, so must the believer stay grounded through prayer. Other things may be in place — strong teaching, fellowship, and service — but without prayer, we are like a vessel without anchor, drifting with the tides of life. Prayer keeps us rooted, stable, and in communion with God. *1. Prayer anchors us in peace:* In a world full of anxieties and uncertainties, prayer connects us to the Prince of Peace. Instead of panicking, we pray — and His peace steadies our hearts (Philippians 4:7). *2. Prayer anchors us in discernment:* When decisions must be made or deception looms, prayer sharpens our spiritual senses. Through prayer, we hear God’s voice more clearly and make choices that align with His will (James 1:5). *3. Prayer anchors us in power:* Battles are won in the secret place of prayer. It strengthens our spirit and draws divine help into our situations. Without prayer, we are spiritually weak; with it, we tap into God's might (Ephesians 6:18). _🙏 Prayer:_ Father, thank You for the gift of prayer. Teach me to make prayer my anchor in all things. Help me stay rooted in Your presence, discerning in my walk, and strong in my battles.
