*Pruned, But Still Thriving* 🌿 Morning run, came across this massive cypress tree and reflected upon it. It has clearly been pruned — its top cut back to make way for overhead power lines. At first glance, it looks like it had been diminished. But look keenly. Instead of growing up, it had started growing out. Wide, lush branches stretching horizontally, creating a natural canopy over the footpath. Not just surviving — adapting, thriving, and offering shade to others along the way. All the pruning we go through in life. The loss of a loved one. The job that didn’t work out. The door that closed. At the time, it feels like something vital has been cut away. But somehow — often quietly, often slowly — we start to grow in other diredirections. We discover new strength, find fresh purpose, create different paths. We become a canopy for others. If you’re in a season of pruning, take heart. Growth doesn’t always look like it used to — but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. *KEEPLAH*
