*OSUN STATE GOVERNOR URGED TO OVERHAUL AIDES*…. *_“Where it is necessary sack them”_* Mr. Akin Adeyi, a security expert and public affairs commentator, has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state to reorganize his aides, with a focus on his legal team. This follows a viral video showing the governor with Hashim Abioye others jubilating with songs and dancing over the Friday’s Court of Appeal's decision which amounted to nothingness. Hashim Abioye, who has been criticized for misleading the governor by providing him with poor legal advice. Adeyi stressed that the governor must show leadership by distancing himself from his current legal advisers. In fact, he will need to sack them immediately and fill the vacancies with better hands. According to Adeyi, the governor's current legal team, comprising Mr. Jimi Bada, State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kolapo Alimi, Commissioner for Information, Nurudeen Kareem, legal adviser to the governor, and Mr. Hashim Abioye, is deemed a significant embarrassment. Adeyi has criticized these individuals for their consistent filing of petitions against citizens, which often result in embarrassment for the governor and the state. He also notes that they have been approaching the courts with defective requests and making premature announcements results of election which never occurred. Adeyi believes that these individuals have become a nuisance and need to be stopped. He suggests that the governor should take a decisive action against them. Sack and make their replacement with more competent lawyers within their party fold or at most, in the absence of suitable replacements from their party, His Excellency is at liberty to contract out their offices where they are, after all currently serving as the mere occupational appointees if that is what will save the state. Abioye's alleged misdeeds, including his deliberate consistent misinterpretation of court judgments, insults to the courts, and public incitement, have raised concerns about his fitness as a trained lawyer, which is expected to lead to a potential formal report to the NBA. Finally, Mr. Akin Adeyi cautioned the governor to intensify his efforts, especially now that his limitations in capacity are manifesting more openly than ever.
