Role OverviewThe	Site	Supervisor	will	be	responsible	for	the	on-ground	implementation	and	daily	coordination of ecosystem restoration activities with the designated contractor team.This	includes	overseeing	planting,	irrigation,	invasive	species	removal,	documentation,	contractor	liaison,	and	stakeholder	coordination.	The	 role	is	 critical	 for	maintaining	 the	ecological, technical, and logistical integrity ofrestoration work and ensuring alignment	 with	 the	 main	 client’s	 biodiversity	conservation	goals.Qualifications- Degree in Botany, Ecology, Forestry, or a related field.- Minimum	7	years	of	hands-on	experience	in	ecological	restoration,	afforestation,	landscaping,	or	other	site	supervision	experience	with	a	keen	interest	in	ecological	restoration and an aspiration to change career path- Familiarity with native flora of the	Pune	region	preferred.- Familiarity with native flora of the Pune region is preferred.- Ability to read and interpret ecological design drawings and irrigation layouts.- Strong communication skills in English.
Key Responsibilities – Ecological Restoration- Supervise and guide planting activities using native species across forests, grasslands, and	seasonal	wetlands.- Mark and oversee irrigation networks, hole digging, and soil preparation.- Implement and monitor weed control and invasive species removal.- Validate plant species identity and planting density as per ecological design.Key Responsibilities – Project Execution- Coordinate daily field activities and ensure progress meets timelines and quality	standards.- Maintain daily site logs and update activity reports.- Enforce health and safety protocols for all site personnel.- Perform quality checks on incoming ecological and construction materials.- Supervise installation of reed-bed and water retention systems.Key Responsibilities – Documentation & Communication- Document restoration activities with photographs and videos.- Coordinate work certification and approvals with the client.- Submit structured progress reports.- Represent project vision and site information to visitors as required.
Additional Requirements- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision in outdoor environments.- Strong coordination and troubleshooting abilities.- Proficiency with basic digital tools for documentation and communication.- Conversational fluency in Marathi or Hindi is an added advantage.Key Deliverables- Weekly and monthly progress reports- Daily logs and photo documentation- Monitoring reports on plant survival and quality- Reports on safety incidents or non-compliance- Records of issue resolution and coordination activities
