After a long while, I returned to church—and that day, something truly powerful happened. The sermon spoke passionately about the value of a never-dying soul and our calling to reach others for Christ. While reflecting on this, my heart turned to another form of outreach: healthcare. I thought about the countless hypertensive patients in our communities—many lacking access to structured, continuous care, unlike what we often see for diabetes. This gap results in uncontrolled blood pressure and avoidable complications simply due to the absence of consistent monitoring and timely intervention. In that moment, a light went on in my spirit: Telemedicine and Digital Health. I knew I had to act. I began exploring how digital solutions could revolutionize access to care—especially in underserved regions across Africa. Driven by curiosity and purpose, I enrolled in a course offered by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland. What was designed to be completed in four weeks took me less than one—I couldn’t get enough! 😅 Today, I’m proud to share my first certification in this exciting field. I’m only just beginning, but I’m confident this journey will help shape a more equitable and connected future for healthcare in Africa.
