AIR QUALITY UPDATE FOR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS May 24th, 2025 Issued: 2:15pm Saharan Dust Coming! 🚨 A significant plume of Saharan dust is forecasted to reach our area late Sunday and is expected to linger through the end of the week. 🌫️ You can expect: Hazy skies Reduced air quality Warmer and drier conditions If you have respiratory issues, take precautions! 🛡️ Top 5 Safety Tips: Limit outdoor activities, especially if you have asthma or allergies. Keep windows and doors closed. Use air purifiers indoors if possible. Wear a mask when outdoors. Stay hydrated and monitor air quality updates.
