*WORD FOR THE DAY*
TOPIC: *GOD IS NOT A ONCE-A-YEAR GOD... TRUST HIM MOMENT BY MOMENT....*
There’s a comforting truth that carries us through the darkest nights and the longest valleys: our God is not a once-a-year God. He is not a seasonal helper. He is not a God who only shows up when the stars align or when the calendar strikes a special day. He is a day-by-day, breath-by-breath Provider. A God who walks with us in the quiet moments and whispers hope in the storms we never saw coming. So many people live as though God is only available in December miracles or Easter breakthroughs. But I stand here to remind you: God is not just the God of the mountain-top moments. He is also the God of your Monday mornings, your sleepless nights, your aching uncertainties, and your daily bread. He doesn’t need an appointment to bless you. He doesn’t wait for the perfect conditions to step in. He doesn’t operate by our timetables or our calendars. He is ever-present. Always active. Eternally faithful. Look at how Jesus taught us to pray: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Not our monthly bread. Not our yearly banquet. But our daily bread. That means He wants to meet you in the ordinary, mundane, unnoticed moments of life. You don’t need to store up enough courage for the whole year. You don’t need to figure out how to solve every problem that might come next month. You don’t need to see the end of the road before you take the next step. All you need to do is trust Him moment by moment. He is the God who provided manna in the wilderness, just enough for each day. Not for tomorrow, not for next week, just enough for that day. And if they tried to store it, it rotted. Because God was trying to teach them something He still teaches us today: "Depend on Me daily. Walk with Me hourly. Trust Me breath by breath."
He doesn’t give you strength for next week because next week hasn’t come yet. He gives you strength for now. And when tomorrow comes, His grace will meet you there too. Maybe you are here today overwhelmed. Maybe you’re carrying more than your heart can handle. Maybe the future looks too far, too foggy, too frightening. And you’re thinking, “How am I going to make it?” Here’s your answer: you will make it, not because you’ve figured it all out, but because God will show up exactly when you need Him. Not a second too early. Not a minute too late. Just in time. Every time. That’s who He is. He’s the God who split the Red Sea, not a week before Israel arrived at the shore, but the moment they reached what looked like the end. He’s the God who showed up in the lion’s den, not before Daniel was thrown in, but while he was inside. He’s the God who stood in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, not when they refused to bow, but when they were in the furnace. He may not always show up early. But He never shows up late. That’s the rhythm of grace. That’s the pattern of Providence. So, dear child of God, take the pressure off. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to store up strength for battles you haven’t even faced. Just take the next step. Just say the next prayer. Just breathe the next breath. And know, He is already in your tomorrow.
You don’t walk this road alone. The same God who woke you up today is the God who will carry you through this hour. And the next. And the next. So stop trying to see the whole staircase, just take the next step.
Stop trying to fight tomorrow’s battles with today’s energy, just rest in His presence now. He is your breath-by-breath strength. Your step-by-step guide. Your moment-by-moment Provider. He is not a once-a-year God. He is the God of now.
Your servant,
