*THE SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE AND THE THEOLOGY OF MEN.* WE thank the Lord for yet another beautiful Lord's Day. A day we share the truths of the Bible with the world. Thank God for the gift of the Bible, because, we would be lost and bewildered at what is happening. We wouldn't know! But thank God, as we search the Bible, everything is fitting into place and in accordance with what God has predicted. May all that will be said today be said in love and with the desire to find truth. Amen. In our study together today, by God's mercy, we hope to learning the eternal blessings of going to the school of the Bible instead of wasting our time with denominational seminaries and the warped opinions of some church theologians. Come with me: In 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 the Bible insists: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) *"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:* *That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."* Again, in Romans chapter 15 verse 4 we see God still encouraging us to stay with the Bible. Romans 15:4 (KJV) *"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."* By God's mercy, it is an eternal blessings to go to the school of the Bible. In my own life experience during the church age, I have learned that the book that the theologians use and should be using is the Ultimate book of teaching - The Bible. I also learned that in-between the Bible and what these church theologians are learning in their seminaries are from different kinds of theological books, but then, we have to understand the paths that these theologians went down. However, I choose to go right to the Fountain Head of Truth -The Bible. So, going to the school of the Bible implies getting a good Bible and reading it carefully, slowly and patiently knowing that this is the Word of God, praying that God would open my eyes. It is a wonderful experience to go to the very source truth, instead of going through the filter of what this or that church theologian have written. It is a common knowledge that every denomination has different idea and conclusion regarding the same subject matter. It is not also difficult to know that these denominations have not come to truth, because, if they had come to truth, they would all be in agreement about every subject in the Bible. So, why should I waste my time trying to figure out what these theologians have mislearned in their quest for truth? Why not go to the very source of Truth -The Bible? This is why, by God's mercy, every Lord's Day, I encourage people to read the Bible, learn from it, spend time with it and get acquainted with it. As a matter of fact, the most wonderful school that anybody can go to is the school of the Bible. Remember that the nature of our sharing with the world every Lord's Day is simply to get our eyes focused on the Bible. Again, notice that I don't waste my time quoting from some religious authority, I don't waste my time quoting from some great Bible teachers, I don't waste my time quoting from any religion, any man-made different kind of a gospel or denominations other than the Bible. By God's mercy, I keep my eyes focused on what the Bible has to say, because, the Bible is the final authority and it is what structures and determines the true gospel. More than that, we know that we are absolutely standing on a safe ground in the school of the Bible, learning all we can from it and getting acquainted with it. The Bible is the Word of God and there is no higher authority. As we learn from the school of the Bible, we have learned truth and nothing can displace that or can be better than that. Every time we read the Bible, it is God literally speaking to us. Unfortunately, not many local churches and congregations understand that God is speaking to us through the Bible. They do not understand that it wasn't Matthew, Luke, Jeremiah, Moses, David that wrote the Bible, but God wrote the Bible and these men were just scribes in the written original languages we have, but God is the one who gave them words to say and therefore every Word in the original language must not be tampered with. I have discovered in my own Bible study, how distressing it is to read the opinions of these theologians regarding the Bible. How they refer to one scribal error of one kind or another in the original languages the Bible was written. They even conclude, atimes that certain verses in the Bible was not trustworthy. I get distressed, because these theologians doesn't understand that the Bible is the Word of God. If we do not understand that the Bible is the Word of God, then, how are we going to come to truth? How is the Holy Spirit going to apply the Word of God to our hearts? I welcome all of us to the school of the Bible and encourage us not to waste our precious time with the theology of men. Lord, could it be that you would teach and help us learn truth from the school of the Bible only. Amen. #igwenagu
