*DID CHRIST PAY FOR THE SINS OF EVERY HUMAN BEING?* We thank the Lord for yet another beautiful Lord's Day. The Bible is God's book. On different occasions, we read the Bible and think that we understand what the Bible is saying. The Bible is not an easy book to understand, but the biblical rule is that we compare spiritual with spiritual. Sometimes we have to look at so many places in the Bible before we can say for sure we have found a true biblical conclusion. It is a biblical principle that we do not arrive at a biblical conclusion, until we look at that conclusion in the light of the whole Bible. God wrote the Bible so that we can easily be misled. In other words God wrote the Bible to test whether we are listening to the whole Bible. In our study together today, by God's mercy, we hope to show from the Bible how Jesus paid for the sins of those he came to save and not necessarily every human being on the face of the planet. Come with me: In John chapter 6 the Bible clearly states: John 6:37-39 (KJV) *"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.* *For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.* *And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day."* Again in John chapter 17 the Bible insists: John 17:9 (KJV) *"I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine."* Whenever we are looking at God, we are looking at a God of law. A God who follows the laws and commandments of the Bible. If God has paid for the sins of an individual, then it will be an impossibility for that individual to come under the wrath of God, because that would be double jeopardy. It would mean that the person was suffering the second time. Their sins had already been paid for and now they had to pay for their sins again. That would be total violation of the integrity and the laws of God. As a matter of fact, the Bible is very clear that hell will be heavily populated. In Matthew chapter 22 the Bible clearly states: Matthew 22:14 (KJV) *"For many are called, but few are chosen."* In Revelation chapter 20 the Bible declares again: Revelation 20:15 (KJV) *"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."* This clearly indicates that there are great number of individuals whose sins had never been paid for. Wonderfully, God has given us a copy of his law book. That's what the Bible is. The Bible is the law book that God follows, so that we need not to be surprised at what God does. God has given us a copy of the law He follows, so that we can search out how God is going to conduct Himself in the light of these laws. That's one of the reasons, by God's mercy, I encourage the world every Lord's Day to search the Bible out, learn all we can from it and to get acquainted with it. That way, we know how God will follow through up until the end of this world and eternity future. So, let's have it at the back of our minds that the idea that is often being propagated by the do-it-yourself theology that Jesus paid for the sins of everyone is not coming from the Bible, but out of the minds of men. Lord, could it be that Christ will pay for our sins. Amen. Igwenagu.

*AND THERE ARE ALSO MANY OTHER THINGS WHICH JESUS DID...* WE thank the Lord for yet another opportunity to learn together from His Word. We are also thankful for the opportunity to see another beautiful Lord's Day. In fact, my relationship and your relationship to God should be very paramount. The Bible has everything to say about everything that is very important. The Bible starts at the beginning of time and even before the beginning of time. The Bible describes the history of the world from the vantage point of God's salvation plan all the way to the end of the world, beyond the end of the world, namely, into eternity future. Everything in the Bible is very, very pertinent and very important in each of our lives. As a matter of fact, the main reason for our sharing from the Word of God every Lord's Day, is basically to encourage us learn from the Bible, hoping that, as many people as possible, might become acquainted with this very precious Book-The Bible. The Bible relates to everyone of us in a very decisive and in a very important way. By God's mercy, today, we will be thinking together on the Bible declaration in John chapter 21 verse 25. Let's do it together: In John chapter 21 verse 25 the Bible declares: *"And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."* Let's try to compare this passage in John with 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) *"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:* *That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."* It is a biblical fact that Jesus was on earth for 38 and half years. He never cease to be God. Even as a little baby or as a youngster, He was God. So every word that ever came out of His mouth, within the 38 and half years of His sojourn on earth, was the Word of God. Jesus spoke, He was a Carpenter with His earthly Dad, yet every word He spoke was a Word from the mouth of God. However, as He preached for three (3) and half years, He was going all day long speaking. When we read all the words that came directly from the mouth of Christ, as He was on this earth, we can read them all in a few hours at the very most. Obviously, Christ said all kinds of things that were not recorded. That does not mean that those other things He said or did, that were not recorded were not the Word of God. They were the Word of God, because Christ is God Himself. See the latter part of verse 24 of our main verse, indicating that every Word of God is true: John 21:24 (KJV) *"This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true."* By God's mercy, when we again compare our main passage with Revelation chapter 22:18-19 (KJV) *"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:* *And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."* We find that the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation is exactly what God wants the whole world to know about and by God's mercy, that is sufficient. Lord, could it be that you would help us not to add or take away from the Bible and for us to realize that the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is what God wants us to know about and that your Word is absolutely trustworthy and dependable. Amen Igwenagu

*NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES...* WE are thankful to God for yet another beautiful Lord's Day. The Bible is the most important piece of information that can be found anywhere in the world. It is the Word of God. God has created us totally accountable to Him for our actions. The Bible is a book of instructions given to us by God, so that we can begin to understand about God who created us, as well as, our personal relationship with Him. Keep in mind that the future is bleak and terrible as it possibly can be, until we know about the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ has truly become our Saviour, because the big problem is sin and the penalty for sin is eternal damnation. It is only through Christ there is an escape from that penalty. In our study together today, by God's mercy, we will be thinking on Hebrews chapter 10 verses 25 and 26. Hopefully, by God's mercy, we will be seeking to finding a biblical conclusion regarding that passage. Come with me: In Hebrews chapter 10 verses 25 and 26 the Bible teaches: Hebrews 10:25-26 (KJV) *"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.* *For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"* Here, the context is definitely speaking about the end times. The word *"together"* in that passage is not in the original Greek. The translators literally smuggled that word into that passage. In the original Greek writings, it says, *"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves..."* Again, the word exhorting means comforting one another as we see the day (end) approaching. The phrase, *"as we see the day approaching"* is a very big clue, because the passage is specifically talking about our day (the end times). Again, notice that the word *"assembling"* is used in one other place in the New Testament, namely, 2 Thessalonians 2:1 (KJV) *"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,"* This passage really helps us to understand the use of the word assembling in Hebrews chapter 10 verses 25. The word gathering is exactly the same word as assembling in Hebrews chapter 10 verses 25. In other words, Christ said earlier in another passage that there will be two in the field, one will be taken and the other left. We are not gathered to Christ as a group of people or as an assembly of people. No. Again, we do not assemble, for example, in a mountain of some kind as a group of people waiting for Christ to take us to himself. It is a one by one proposition. So, the word assembling or gathering is not emphasizing an assembly of people altogether in one place. It simply typifies how we are gathered to Christ. As a matter of fact, the real focus in Hebrews chapter 10 verses 25 is: *"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves..."* Underline the word ourselves. As we move further, we also notice the phrase, *"exhorting or comforting one another."* The question then is, where do we get our comfort or exhortation from? Our comfort and exhortation comes from the Word of God. As we keep reading and meditating on the Word of God, He gives us comfort as we fellowship with Him through His Word. Incidentally, verse 26 of Hebrews chapter 10 is often missed. *"For..."* Now, God is continuing on this matter of assembling of ourselves. Hebrews 10:26 (KJV) *"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"* Here, we see such a crazy statement (I say that very carefully). As we compare spiritual with spiritual, is this passage saying that if we willfully sin, that there is no sacrifice for sin (no forgiveness for sin)? In other words, that there is no salvation for us if we willfully sin? No. That is not what the Bible is saying. The Bible is very clear that Christ came for sinners and every sin is willful. But, why is God saying that there is no hope, if we sin willfully? You see, let us understand that there is only one place in the whole wide world, where you could sin willfully and there is no sacrifice for sin (no forgiveness). That place is in the local churches and congregations of our day. I don't care what church you belong to in these last days, there is absolutely no sacrifice for sin in all the local churches and congregations of our day. Why? Because the Holy Spirit had since abandoned the local churches and congregations of our day. Sacrifice for sin means bringing of salvation and throughout the history of the world, there has always been the possibility of salvation. But now in our day, within the local churches and congregations, there is no possibility of salvation. The Holy Spirit is not there to save or forgive Wonderfully, outside of the local churches and congregations of our day, the Holy Spirit is saving and forgiving people today. Revelation 7:9 (KJV) *"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;"* These great multitudes are saved in our day, the end times. Notice that the Bible says that they were clothed with white robes. Typifying that they were all saved. Also notice that they are not saved within the local churches and congregations of our day, because there is no possibility of salvation in there. The Bible clearly indicates that the Holy Spirit has abandoned the local churches and congregations of our day. So, with the benefit of the above informations, we now know that the assembling of ourselves has to be outside of the local churches and congregations of our day, where the Holy Spirit is still applying the Word of God unto salvation and not within the local churches and congregations. Furthermore, during the church age, we were commanded by God to come under the authority of the local churches and congregations. Then, we often encourage people to find a church that is reasonably true to the Word of God to fellowship with. That was God's program and wishes for us during the church age. However, while we are staying outside of the local churches and congregations of our day, we do not live a wild, nonchalant life caring less about the Bible. No. The biblical rule is *"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves..."* In other words, our assembling is with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. How? Through the Word of God. Spend quality time with the Word of God. Spend quality time praying and fellowshipping with God, even though we do not have the encouragement of church rulers like we did during the church age. So, let's bear it in mind, that Hebrews chapter 10 verses 25 and 26 is talking about our fellowship with God and not with other people. As we grow in grace, we have more and more intimate relationship with God. That's where our strength comes from. Our spiritual strength doesn't come from other people, our spiritual strength comes from God. Unfortunately, the vast preponderance of people in the local churches and congregations of our day put their trust in their pastors and church leaders, rather than in the Lord Jesus Christ. Today, in our day, we do not have the possibility of putting our trust in church rulers. Our trust has to be in Christ and Christ alone. It is me and Christ not me, someone else and God. Today, the local churches and congregations of our day do not stand in-between us and God. It is me and God alone. What a wonderful relationship we have with God. Lord, could it be that you would help us learn correctly. Amen. Igwenagu
