Zimbabwean users of popular money transfer service Mukuru are up in arms after reports of unauthorized deductions, frozen funds, and poor customer service.
Many took to social media to demand answers.
"In our accounts mapinda 50 000 dai ikasangobuditswa😭😂😂😂😂", one X user posted.
Mukuru responded, assuring customers:
“Your money is safe. This is a temporary technical issue, and we’re working to fix it urgently.”
Ironically, this comes as Mukuru celebrates being listed among the Top 100 Global Cross-Border Payment Providers for the 6th year in a row.
