Last Friday, I visited the home of Rev. Nii Noi Odonkor, the Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana to commiserate with him on the loss of the wife.
He was my chaplain back at Okuapemman School and we had not met since I completed more than thirty years ago.
He was one of those my dad asked to look after me when I was dispatched to the school and the wife Aunty Akweley used to cook food for the school community which was patronised by many of the students. Of course, I got special treatment because that was also my home.😉
We remember her fondly and on behalf of my school mates, we pray the Lord gives her eternal rest and comfort Reverend and the entire family.
A book of condolence has been opened for friends and sympathizers to go sign and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the headmaster at the time I joined in 1987, Mr. Ofei Awuku, aged 90+ had already been to the house to condole.
