SEFF brings agricultural support to 6k in Masvingo ELLEN MLAMBO 
MIRROR REPORTER MASVINGO – More than 6,000 people across three districts in Masvingo Province have benefitted from the €3.774, 594, 60 million Seeds for the Future (SEFF) project, a sustainable agriculture initiative funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
The three-year project, implemented from May 2022 to May 2025, aimed to improve agricultural productivity and enhance community resilience in the face of climate change. The SEFF project was officially closed at a meeting held recently at a local hotel in Masvingo. The event brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, AICS, and several implementing non-governmental organizations. The initiative, titled Seeds for the Future – Sustainable Agriculture for the Resilience of Rural Communities, was carried out in the districts of Masvingo, Mwenezi, and Chiredzi. It focused on four main areas: home-grown school feeding programs, farmer-managed seed systems, promotion of agricultural value chains, and women’s empowerment.
