Zimbabwe’s Invictus Energy to participate in AEW 2025 GARIKAI MAFIRAKUREVA CAPE TOWN – Invictus Energy’s participation in African Energy Week (AEW): Invest in African Energies 2025 marks a significant milestone for Zimbabwe’s energy sector, as the company leads the nation’s entrance into the league of African gas producers. Scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3, 2025 in Cape Town, the event will feature Scott Macmillan, Founder and Managing Director of Invictus Energy, who is expected to provide key insights into Zimbabwe’s growing upstream sector.
Macmillan’s appearance comes as Invictus celebrates Zimbabwe’s first confirmed commercial gas discovery at the Cabora Bassa Basin. The Mukuyu gas field, located in this project area, has advanced beyond exploration, receiving critical Environmental and Social Impact Assessment approvals and now entering the commercialization phase. The company has been granted approval to initiate pilot production, including gas supply to the Eureka Gold Mine gas-to-power project, a development that supports local energy generation and resource monetization.
