Mushayamunda tourney kicks off June 20 NGONIDZASHE CHIKANDIWA 
MIRROR REPORTER MASVINGO – This year’s edition of the Mushayamunda Christian Foundation Sports Tournament kicks off on June 20, 2025, across zones in Bikita, Zaka and Chiredzi.
The finals are slated for July 2, 2025, at Mukazi Primary in Chiredzi. Tournament coordinator, Joseph Vhengere said 31 primary schools are participating in the tournament. Vhengere added that the gold winner will receive $230, first runner up US$130 and second runner up US$80. Outstanding players will receive individual awards and medals. “This tournament has become a pillar for children and youth development. We are proud to continue fostering sporting excellence while encouraging values of teamwork and discipline,” said Vhengere. Schools will compete in four disciplines; soccer, netball, volleyball and basketball. The tournament is sponsored by the Mushayamunda Family Development Trust which hails from Mashoko, Bikita. The Mushayamunda brothers, Donald, Dereck, Dennis and Daniel are based in Ohio, United States of America (USA).
