The leader of the United People for Social Renovation, PURS, party, Serge Espoir Matomba, has expressed fears that the recent partnership between Elections Cameroon, ELECAM, and the United Nations, UN, could result in inference in elections. He said the deal undermines Cameroon’s sovereignty. Motamba expressed his reservation about the deal during a recent media outing. Note that the ELECAM-UN deal signed on May 9 covers the 2025-2027 elections cycle in the country.
