Today, as Namibians 🇳🇦 we join other African 🌍states in celebrating the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now called the African Union (AU). This year's celebration is anchored in the theme, "Revisiting Our History, Shaping Our Future”, and seeks to amongst others, celebrate Africa’s diverse cultural heritage as both a repository of memory and a dynamic driver of healing, innovation, and sustainable development, as well as to foster intergenerational and diaspora dialogues that bridge past struggles with future aspirations, allowing youth, artists, civil society, and thought leaders to co-create inclusive narratives of justice, identity, and transformation. We remain committed to contributing to the growth and development of our continent, by promoting intra Africa trade, investments and knowledge sharing.
