Changlang, June 19,2025 A joint enforcement team led by Town Magistrate Millo Uttung, along with Superintendent of Tax, Excise and Narcotics N.G. Changmi and Inspector of Trade and Commerce Mudang Pampi, conducted a surprise inspection targeting unauthorized liquor sales. The operation, backed by police personnel, aimed to crack down on illegal alcohol trade in the region. During the raid, the team inspected multiple shops suspected of operating without valid liquor licenses. As a result, they successfully seized 16 cases of beer and a significant quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from establishments found violating the law. Officials stated that such inspections are part of an ongoing initiative to ensure lawful trade practices and maintain public safety. They also warned that similar operations will continue to deter illegal sale of alcohol. The seized items have been taken into custody, and legal action is being initiated against the violators.
