Good morning viewers! Yesterday a meeting was convened by DC with EE UD of Changlang and Jairampur division in which pertinent issues wrt solid and liquid waste management was discussed. Various solutions proposed for treatment of legacy waste and proper door to door waste collection was deliberated upon. Status of material recycling facility under construction in miao and changlang was also reviewed. Upcoming projects wrt sewage treatment plant was also discussed. While waste management in urban areas is entrusted with UD dept it goes without saying that to keep our household and surroundings clean is everyone’s duty and therefore I appeal general public to not litter and throw away garbage anywhere and segregate waste at source so that it can be well treated when the door to door collection vehicles come nearby.
