State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), Telangana Marks International Day Against Child Labour with Awareness Initiatives Across the State On the occasion of International Day Against Child Labour, the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), Telangana, in collaboration with the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare (WCD), launched a week-long awareness campaign to reinforce the message of “End Child Labour. As a symbolic start to this important campaign, Honourable Minister for Women and Child Welfare along with SCPCR Chairperson Smt. formally inaugurated a thematic awareness poster. The event underscored the government’s commitment to eliminate child labour through proactive policies, community participation, and strict enforcement of laws. To amplify this message at the grassroots level, the Commission issued official communication to all District Collectors across Telangana, requesting them to conduct district-level awareness programs from June 12 2025. In a significant public engagement effort, the Commission organizing a public meeting at the historic Charminar on June 12, 2025, to raise public awareness and call for collective action.chairperson invited Minister WCD for the said meeting.
