A Historic Leap Forward in Assam’s Healthcare Assam’s Maternal Mortality Ratio has seen a remarkable decline – from a staggering 480 in 2006 to just 125 in 2022 – registering the most impactful improvement in the entire country. It was a moment of immense pride to join our Karmayogi CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma dangoriya, in sharing this milestone achievement with the people of Assam. Each number in this progress tells a powerful story – of a mother’s life saved, of a family kept whole, of a healthier, stronger future for our state.
