🩸 Blood is an essential part of every health system. It saves lives in emergencies, surgeries, cancer care, trauma, and childbirth.
❤️🩹Every blood donation is a gift of hope. It can mean the difference between life and death for patients in need of transfusions.
🌍 But access isn’t equal: Many countries struggle with chronic shortages of safe blood, especially for children and mothers.
🏥 Since blood cannot be stored indefinitely, there is a continuous need for regular, voluntary, unpaid donations.
💡 Want to donate blood but not sure if you’re eligible? Here’s what you need to know!
Most healthy adults can give blood:
✅ You should be between 18–65 years old.
✅ You should weigh at least 50 kg.
✅ You must feel well and not be sick on donation day.
✅ Your blood pressure, pulse, and haemoglobin levels will be checked before donating.
🕒 The entire process is safe, quick, and rewarding.
🫶🏾 One unit of safe blood can save up to 3 lives! It takes just an hour to donate, but the impact can last a lifetime.
