PASTOR IBIYEOMIE vs VDM The problem with most of you is that you find it hard to understand that people can be right sometimes and also can be wrong at other times Once you Stan someone, whatever the person does is right. Even when the person does something wrong and people say it is wrong, you will fight tooth and nail to defend the person that he is right. VDM has been wrong about some of the things he has alleged and he has also been very right about some other things he has alleged. VDM has fought for several causes including trafficked women and children. He has used his platform for a lot of positive influence. But he was also wrong to accuse Mohbad’s widow of complicity in her husband’s death and calling for a DNA test for the surviving son. I know all of us have moved on from the issue but you people supported him and were even parroting the same allegations when he was clearly wrong on that. You could not separate your love for his good works from the simple fact that he’s human and just like me and you and everyone else, we make errors in judgement. It’s the same way you people are also obsessed with the notion that a Pastor cannot be wrong because you adore him for his good works. He is human. He is prone to make mistakes. He is not God. Now here you are, especially the Port Harcourt wing of Ratels, stuck between supporting VDM blindly or Pastor Ibiyeomie blindly. Your loyalty to either of them is now being tested. But truly, it shouldn’t be so. Good men can make mistakes. Good men can be wrong. It’s not everything a good man says that is right. A good man is still a man. But these mistakes doesn’t make them less than who they are. Who are we without our flaws? I love Pastor David Ibiyeomie but I know he is not perfect. I also love VDM and I also know he is not perfect. I don’t agree with everything Pastor says and I don’t agree with everything VDM says. Maybe this episode will finally teach you people a lesson that the pastors, influencers and whoever we adore can be wrong about somethings and be right about other things and we should learn to think for ourselves.
