STOP SPREADING FALSE NARRATIVES, LERE OLAYINKA! It is important to set the record straight regarding the withdrawal of the appeal by His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara's legal team. Contrary to Lere Olayinka’s misleading statement, this withdrawal is not a concession or acceptance of any court ruling. Rather, it is a pragmatic acknowledgment that the appeal has been overtaken by events, as we are now in 2025 and the Rivers State budget has moved far beyond the circumstances in question. For clarity, the withdrawal of the appeal, as explicitly stated in the notice, aligns with Order 11, Rule 14 of the Supreme Court Rules. It acknowledges that pursuing this matter is no longer necessary due to the changed circumstances, not because of any defeat. Governor Fubara remains firmly committed to his responsibilities and governance, with a focus on the progress and development of Rivers State. Misrepresenting such legal actions to push a false narrative is unprofessional and irresponsible. The public is urged

PDP Crisis: Disciplinary Committee summons Anyanwu, Ortom, and 10 others" The Chief Tom Ikimi-led National Disciplinary Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned the party’s National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, and 10 others over allegations of anti-party activities. Ikimi, who chairs the committee, announced that the panel convened recently to consider five petitions, some of which targeted prominent figures in the National Working Committee (NWC). In line with its mandate under Section 57(1) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017), the committee reviewed the petitions and noted that the first set involved key NWC members. However, in a bid to support ongoing reconciliation efforts led by the Governors’ Forum and the Board of Trustees, the committee decided to step down three of these petitions. The second set of petitions concerns former Governor Ortom and 10 others, as well as the petition against Senator Anyanwu. The committee resolved to invite the affected individuals to appear before it on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja. Those summoned include the petitioners, their witnesses, and the affected party members, who are expected to present their own witnesses. Notices have been issued to all parties involved. The committee emphasized its commitment to maintaining discipline within the party and restoring its integrity. It also urged anyone with genuine grievances against any party member to follow the proper channels and take advantage of the committee’s processes.

The public is urged to disregard such misinformation and instead focus on the undeniable realities of governance and development under Governor Sim Fubara, the pacesetter of Nigerian politics. Let the facts speak louder than any misrepresentation, as Rivers State continues to thrive under purposeful leadership.
