Experience: 8–10 Years in Tool/Mould Manufacturing and Sourcing
Salary: Approx.. ₹7,50,000 CTC

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tool Room Incharge with deep expertise in Plastic Injection Moulding, Tool Manufacturing, and Vendor Development. The ideal candidate will lead the entire spectrum of tool room operations – from design and manufacturing to sourcing and maintenance – in alignment with production and New Product Development (NPD) goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all activities related to in-house and outsourced tool manufacturing, development, and maintenance.
• Provide technical expertise in tool design, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation.
• Resolve tooling and technical issues impacting production, engineering, and NPD.
• Make strategic "Make or Buy" decisions based on resource availability and cost-effectiveness.
• Use CAD/CAM software for DFM (Design for Manufacturability), CAD modeling, and design review.
• Provide accurate quotations and cost estimates for tool modifications, repairs, and new tool development.
• Respond to tool failures immediately to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity.
• Ensure timely tool delivery in coordination with production and NPD timelines.
• Manage new tool development, engineering pilot builds, and tool validation activities.
• Travel at short notice to factories or vendor sites for tool approvals, troubleshooting, or follow-ups.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships for tool and tooling accessories.
• Contribute to facility capability expansion through equipment upgrades and team development.
• Lead and mentor the tool room team in line with company goals and performance standards.
• Participate in internal and customer meetings, tool trials, and tool transfers.
• Create and execute comprehensive maintenance schedules for tools and factory support equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tooling activities and ensure full traceability.
• Monitor and manage raw material, consumables, and manpower to support uninterrupted operations.
• Provide monthly status updates on tooling development and key performance indicators.

Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of injection mould tool manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, or similar).
• Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Design, and NPD teams.
• Sound understanding of tool cost estimation and project timelines.
• Effective leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
