Prayer for Peace in the World In light of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran “He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.” – Psalm 46:9 (KJV)* “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” – Matthew 5:9 (KJV) Heavenly Father, We come before You today as wars and rumours of wars shake the nations. Our hearts grieve at the rising violence between Israel and Iran, and the growing threat to innocent lives and global peace. Lord, You are the Prince of Peace—stretch forth Your hand and calm the raging storm. Break the bow, silence the weapons, and cause the fighting to cease. We ask that You touch the hearts of world leaders with divine wisdom. Let pride and vengeance give way to understanding and diplomacy. Raise peacemakers in every land, and may the voice of reconciliation be louder than the drums of war. Protect the innocent, comfort the fearful, and bring healing to those wounded in body and spirit.
