Highly Cherished, one reason for perpetuation of poverty is lack of understanding of the purpose of wealth. Poor people think money is for eating. Scripture says it is a defence, Eccl. 7.12. Money is for defending the agenda of the possessor whether righteous or not. The wise man said, _*“The rich man's wealth is his strong city; The destruction of the poor is their poverty.” Pr. 10.15.*_ A strong city defends its inhabitants. However, it is built. Any money you get is one more block for building your strong city. Don’t eat it away! Treasure it. Save it. Invest it and multiply it. We all can reflect on how much money has entered our hands over the years. Sadly, not much of it entered into the building of our strong city. Let’s do better! Have a great week.
