Empowering Women: Cde Bridget Wusimbe's Vision for Nketa Constituency Cde Bridget Wusimbe, the ZANU-PF Bulawayo Province Vice Chair for Young Women for Economic Development, has made significant strides in empowering women in Ward 26 of the Nketa Constituency. Her dedication to community service and women's empowerment became evident during her candidacy in the 2023 local elections, where she contested for the position of councilor. While her campaign was met with challenges, Wusimbe's commitment to uplifting the women in her community did not wane. Recognizing the hardships many face, particularly in economically disadvantaged areas, Cde Wusimbe initiated various programs to support and empower women. Her efforts have centered around promoting sustainable agricultural practices and financial literacy, understanding that economic independence is key for many families. One of her notable projects is the establishment of a horticulture group, which has become a beacon of hope for women like Ms. Elizabeth Zimba, a member of the Emganwini horticulture group. The group, supported by ZANU-PF's initiatives, secured three hectares of land, where they have begun cultivating crops such as cabbages. This project exemplifies Wusimbe's vision of collective growth and resilience, as it not only provides food security but also enables women to generate income for their families. Cde Wusimbe has been instrumental in mobilizing women within the constituency, creating a supportive network where they can learn and grow together. Emphasizing the importance of hard work and commitment, she has encouraged women to take on leadership roles, be involved in community projects, and foster a spirit of unity. As she continues her mission, Wusimbe embodies the belief that empowered women can transform their communities. Her work in Nketa not only lays the groundwork for economic development but also inspires a new generation of female leaders who are eager to make a difference. Through her unwavering dedication, Cde Bridget Wusimbe is indeed a catalyst for change, embodying the spirit of empowerment and resilience among women in her community. https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaasbIG2UPBDgfC2Ge3b
