Today, as the world marks World Environment Day, we are proud to reaffirm the Company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability through our Kijani tree planting initiative.
In partnership with local communities, local administration, the Kenya Forest Service, and dedicated staff from Kakamega and Vihiga Counties. The exercises were led by the County Business Manager Kakamega, Eunice Wafula, and County Customer Experience Officer Vihiga, Lucy Simbili. We commenced the planting of 33,000 trees across Kakamega Forest and the Maragoli Hills.
This impactful exercise, set for conclusion within the next one week, is a key step towards restoring critical ecosystems and promoting long-term environmental sustainability.
