Changes to vehicle access on Portobello Road Portobello Road is one of London’s most popular street markets, attracting thousands of visitors every week. To better protect everyone who lives, works and trades in the area and following advice from the Metropolitan Police, we will be introducing new barriers that will restrict vehicle access during market hours. https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/amazing-spaces/strengthening-portobello-road Works will begin to prepare the road from next week, with the aim to have the barriers installed by the end of June.
