On 16th May 2025, NITI Aayog commenced the restoration work at Chota Talab, Dobda Gram Panchayat, Zirapur Aspirational Block, Rajgarh District, Madhya Pradesh, under its #sarovarsamriddhi pilot. The initiative focuses on rejuvenating this important village water body to support sustainable water management and improve long-term water resilience in the region. सरोवर समृद्धि, Rejuvenation of 1,000 Water Bodies (RWB) is a NITI Aayog intervention aimed at ensuring local water security and sustainable water management. This initiative focuses on reviving traditional lakes, ponds, and tanks to enhance groundwater recharge, support agriculture, and bolster community livelihoods. Emphasizing community participation and technological interventions—such as desilting, pollution control, and afforestation—#jalsamriddhi seeks to restore ecological balance and resilience.
