Strengthening Water Resource Management in Madhya Pradesh Under its #sarovarsamriddhi pilot, NITI Aayog has commenced the rejuvenation work at Pakhalya Nistar Talab Kramank I, Pakhalya Village, Ziranya Aspirational Block, Khargone District, Madhya Pradesh, on 16th May 2025. The initiative aims to promote sustainable water management practices and strengthen long-term water resilience at the village level. सरोवर समृद्धि, Rejuvenation of 1,000 Water Bodies (RWB) is a NITI Aayog intervention aimed at ensuring local water security and sustainable water management. This initiative focuses on reviving traditional lakes, ponds, and tanks to enhance groundwater recharge, support agriculture, and bolster community livelihoods. Emphasizing community participation and technological interventions—such as desilting, pollution control, and afforestation—#jalsamriddhi seeks to restore ecological balance and resilience.
