NITI Aayog, on 16th May 2025, commenced the rejuvenation work of Luhara Chandel Kaleen Pond and Luhara Sharda Shukora Pond, Luhara Gram Panchayat, Baldevgarh Aspirational Block, Tikamgarh District, Madhya Pradesh, under its #sarovalsamriddhi Pilot. This initiative aims to enhance the water capacity of reservoirs throughout the village. सरोवर समृद्धि, Rejuvenation of 1,000 Water Bodies (RWB) is a NITI Aayog intervention aimed at ensuring local water security and sustainable water management. This initiative focuses on reviving traditional lakes, ponds, and tanks to enhance groundwater recharge, support agriculture, and bolster community livelihoods. Emphasizing community participation and technological interventions—such as desilting, pollution control, and afforestation—#jalsamriddhi seeks to restore ecological balance and resilience.
