Sarovar Samriddhi: Water Body Rejuvenation Commences in Haridwar The rejuvenation of a water body near Kudaghar and Aurangabad Gram Panchayat, under Bahadrabad Aspirational block in Haridwar District, Uttarakhand, commenced on May 16, 2025, under NITI Aayog's #sarovarsamriddhi initiative. The work was inaugurated by the Gram Pradhan, Aurangabad, Block Bahadrabad, with the Agriculture Department, Haridwar, serving as the Nodal Monitoring Authority to ensure ground-level execution. This initiative focuses on reviving traditional lakes, ponds, and tanks to enhance groundwater recharge, support agriculture, and bolster community livelihoods.
