Under its #sarovarsamriddhi initiative, NITI Aayog has commenced the rejuvenation work at Jamli Nistar Talab, Jamli Village, Ziranya Aspirational Block, Khargone District, Madhya Pradesh, on 20th May 2025. The initiative aims to enhance long-term water resilience and restoration for the local community. सरोवर समृद्धि, Rejuvenation of 1,000 Water Bodies (RWB) is a NITI Aayog intervention aimed at ensuring local water security and sustainable water management. This initiative focuses on reviving traditional lakes, ponds, and tanks to enhance groundwater recharge, support agriculture, and bolster community livelihoods. Emphasizing community participation and technological interventions—such as desilting, pollution control, and afforestation—#jalsamriddhi seeks to restore ecological balance and resilience.
