*NITI Aayog Leads Roundtable on Patent Law Reforms for a Robust Innovation Ecosystem* NITI Aayog's Law Division organised a Roundtable Discussion on Patent Law Reforms on June 05, 2025. Chaired by Shri Rajiv Gauba, Member, NITI Aayog, the deliberations fostered a rich exchange of ideas on key issues such as balancing innovation with public interest, streamlining patent procedures, and aligning domestic laws with global best practices. Shri Sanjeev Sanyal, Member-EAC-PM, NITI Aayog, emphasised the significance of nurturing a culture of trust. Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary, DPIIT, and Ms. Himani Pande, Additional Secretary, DPIIT, highlighted key reform areas through an interactive presentation. The discussion identified critical areas for reform and laid groundwork for shaping a more robust and inclusive patent ecosystem.
