Rejuvenation of Water Bodies ! As part of its ongoing commitment to water security and sustainable resource management, NITI Aayog initiated the rejuvenation of Kundaliya catchment Talab in Kandeli Village, Zirapur Aspirational Block, Rajgarh District, Madhya Pradesh on 18 May 2025, under the #sarovarsamriddhi initiative. This initiative aims to strengthen sustainable water management practices at the village level and foster long-term water resilience for the local community. The initiative सरोवर समृद्धि: Rejuvenation of 1,000 Water Bodies" (RWB) represents a strategic intervention by NITI Aayog, aimed at enhancing local water security and promoting sustainable water management practices. This program focuses on the revitalization of traditional water bodies, including lakes, ponds, and tanks, with the objectives of improving groundwater recharge, supporting agricultural activities, and strengthening community livelihoods. By prioritizing community engagement and incorporating technological advancements, such as desilting, pollution mitigation, and afforestation, the #jalsamriddhi initiative seeks to restore ecological balance and enhance resilience within these ecosystems.
