On June 7, NYCEM personnel from the Human Services, Exercises, Recovery, and Logistics teams observed a major American Red Cross regional sheltering drill. The exercise simulated shelter operations across the jurisdictions of Manhattan, Suffolk, and Rockland from a central command center. The observation reinforced our strong partnership with the Red Cross and provided key takeaways for our own large-scale emergency sheltering plans.
