Poland will back Ukraine’s bid to join NATO at the upcoming North Atlantic Alliance summit in The Hague, President Andrzej Duda said during a meeting of Poland’s National Security Council. “I can say in advance that I will support Ukraine’s aspiration to become a NATO member and, more broadly, its desire to move closer to the Western community,” Duda emphasized, speaking about his participation in the summit. He added that Poland’s geostrategic goal is to ensure that as many countries as possible between Poland and Russia — where aggressive ambitions have re-emerged — are integrated into the Western community, adding that this should also be the case for Belarus in the future.
