In a world where the smallest human rights violation can spark international outrage, the routine killing of Baloch people by the Pakistani state continues largely unnoticed. In this heavily militarized region, survival itself has become an act of resistance. Extrajudicial killingsโ€”carried out directly by Pakistani security forcesโ€”have become a systemic tool of repression. Each day, Baloch lives are taken by the Frontier Corps, Army, or other state forces, not as part of any judicial process, but to instill fear and enforce submission across Baloch Nation. Baloch people are targeted arbitrarily, often under vague suspicions or as collective punishment. In many cases, those killed were simply present in militarized zones or moving through border areasโ€”where soldiers act with total impunity. This pattern of violence involves direct executions by the Pakistani Army, Frontier Corps, Coast Guards, and other security personnel. These are not custodial killings after enforced disappearances, nor targeted assassinations by state-backed death squadsโ€”rather, they are carried out in broad daylight, with security forces themselves opening fire on unarmed Baloch civilians and youth. These crimes are most prevalent in Balochistanโ€™s peripheries, where access to communication is nearly nonexistent. With no free media, no independent monitoring, and no legal recourse, Pakistani forces operate beyond the reach of accountability. The absence of internet, mobile networks, and press coverage ensures these acts of violence rarely come to light. โฆฟ The cases that follow represent only a fraction of the violence that happened during 2025. They are among the few that surfaced through social mediaโ€”the only tool left for Baloch to document their suffering. Countless more killings go unreported, as families remain silent out of fear or lack of access. Under a state-enforced media blackout and sustained climate of fear, Pakistani forces continue their war crimes upon Baloch nation without any accountability. โ€ขWaheed Baloch, son of Abdul Wahid and resident of the Kallag area in Panjgur district, was killed by Pakistani forces on January 25, 2025. According to his family, Waheed was transporting cattle in an Iranian-made 2000 vehicle when security forces opened fire in the Mashkil area of Chagi district, fatally wounding him. โ€ขOn January 6, 2025, Pakistani forces opened fire in Chagai district, killing a young girl and injuring several others during an unspecified incident. โ€ขOn February 9, 2025, Pakistani Coast Guard forces shot and killed Abdul Wahid, son of Ramzan Baloch, a resident of Pishukan in Gwadar. Family members reported that Coast Guard officers initially allowed them to work in the area, but after loading goods onto a boat, a Coast Guard vessel pursued them. Upon the arrival of a senior officer, the Coast Guard ordered them to leave and opened fire without warning. โ€ขMudassir Sumalani Baloch, a 22-year-old youth, was killed by Pakistani customs forces on February 26, 2025, on the Noshki National Highway. โ€ขWafa Baloch, son of Allah Bakhsh and resident of Parom area in Panjgur district, was extrajudicially killed by Pakistani forces in the Abdooi border area on 26 February 2025. โ€ขDuring a peaceful sit-in protest on March 21, 2025, in Quetta by BYC, demanding the release of forcibly disappeared persons, Pakistani forces opened fire, killing: โ€ขNehmat Baloch, aged 12, a child participant at the demonstration. โ€ขHabib Baloch, another participant of the protest. โ€ขImdad Baloch, who was reportedly shot while assisting the wounded who were injured by security forces firing at the protest site. โ€ขOn April 8, 2025, Mehrab and Khan Muhammad were shot dead by security forces in Kocha Tara Jabeen, Buleda, while hunting birds. Their bodies were withheld from their families for several days and were not sent to the Turbat hospital morgue. โ€ขInayatullah, son of Majeed Lehri from Wadh, Khuzdar, succumbed to injuries on April 14, 2025, sustained from indiscriminate firing by security forces during peaceful protests in Wadh on April 7. โ€ขOn May 10, 2025, Lal Jan, son of Elahi Baksh and resident of Zamuran, was indiscriminately shot by security forces in Panjgur. โ€ขOn May 17, 2025, Bakhtair Ahmed, son of Akbar from Bedar Pull, Naseerabad, was killed by security forces in Kalat through live fire. โ€ขOn June 3, 2025, Ehsan Syed, 17 years old, son of Manzoor Shah and a resident of Mastung, was fatally shot by Frontier Corps personnel near Lak Pass, Mastung. โฆฟ These 2025 cases are part of a longstanding and systematic pattern of extrajudicial killings and state-led violence in Balochistan. While this report focuses on killings carried out in 2025, it is important to note that such executions have occurred regularly over the years. The following three casesโ€”among many othersโ€”show how this violence has continued throughout the years. โ€ขOn August 13, 2020, Hayat Baloch, a university student from Turbat, was publicly executed by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in front of his parents. โ€ขOn February 3, 2022, Ehtesham Baloch, a student at the Islamic University, Islamabad, was shot dead by FC personnel in Panjgur, Balochistan. โ€ขOn November 25, 2024, Israr, 17, son of Rashid and a trainee nurse from Turbat, was shot and killed near an FC checkpoint at Taleemi Chowk, Turbat, while on his way to cover a colleagueโ€™s night shift. โฆฟ The war crimes committed by Pakistani forces in Balochistan must not remain hidden behind media blackouts and diplomatic silence. The people of Balochistan, like all others, deserve dignity, justice, and the protection of international law. #stopbalochgenocide
