🕊 There is no concept of “soulmates” in Islām the way many people imagine it. The idea that there’s only one person in the entire world who was created just for you — your so-called “other half” — is a romantic belief, not an Islamic one. If that were truly the case: • Why would divorce exist? • Why would polygyny be permitted? • Why did many of the righteous women and men — including the wives of the Prophet ﷺ and the Ṣaḥābah رضي الله عنهم — marry more than once? In Islām, marriage is a part of Qadar (divine decree), yes, but it is also based on taqwā, good character, effort, and mutual rights and responsibilities — not destiny in the form of one “perfect match.” 💬 Allāh says: “And among His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy…” (Qur’ān, 30:21) That’s the real beauty of marriage — not fantasy, but tranquility, love, and mercy grounded in obedience to Allāh. Sometimes, a spouse is a blessing. Sometimes, a test. And sometimes, both. But Islām doesn’t teach that love is a once-in-a-lifetime mystical fate. Rather, it teaches us that a righteous spouse is a provision from Allāh — not a “soulmate” manufactured by emotion or fairy tales. May Allāh grant us righteous companionship and guide us to what pleases Him in every relationship. Aameen
