It is said that on an unknown date between February and May, 2025 Mashaya had sexual intercourse several times with a 14-year-old girl, and they did so in a car. The matter came to light when the complainant's sister saw the love messages and reported them to the police. Standing before Magistrate Tembo, Mashaya pleaded guilty to the charge but stated that they had intercourse only once.
