Location: Surrey, BC V3W 1L2 Salary: $35.00 hourly / 40 hours per week Job Responsibilities: - Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs - Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools - Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials - Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems - Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware - Estimate costs and materials - Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Skills & Abilities: - Ability to read blueprints and drawings - Attention to detail - Communication skills - Interpersonal skills - Measurement skills - Physical stamina - Problem-solving skills - Team player Educational Qualifications: - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full-time, Starts as soon as possible Benefits: To be determined Who Can Apply: The employer accepts applications from Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents of Canada, and other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.
