Last night at my Meet-the-People Session, I was met with something rare and humbling — love wrapped in layers of sponge and frosting. A few families I’ve journeyed with over the years came by, their little ones in tow, carrying a homemade ondeh ondeh cake with my photo and message printed on top. They didn’t come to ask for anything. They came to say thank you. In this line of work, we often speak of policies, plans, and promises. But sometimes, the most meaningful service is simply showing up for one another — year after year, through elections, through life. Thank you for your warmth, your faith, and your friendship.
