Today, The Office of the President and Cabinet today held a consultative workshop with key stakeholders—including business member organizations, academia, civil society, and special interest groups—to gather input for the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2). The blueprint will guide Zimbabwe’s development priorities over the next five years, as the nation accelerates efforts to become an upper-middle-income economy by 2030. Finance Minister Hon. Mthuli Ncube emphasized that stakeholder engagement is central to the NDS2 formulation process. A draft is expected by October, followed by the official launch by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in November. The 2026 national budget will align with the strategy.
