🌹🌷🌞🙏 *Beyond the Obstacle *29. Multitasking is a myth* Multitasking means trying to do many things at the same time. *The human brain does not have the ability and capacity to do two tasks, requiring focus, simultaneously*. In fact we don't do it at a time, we just switch tasks quickly i.e task switching. If one part of the brain is already busy doing something, it has no capacity to do the other task. If you try to do multitasking, it will harm quality of all tasks being done simultaneously. Due to multitasking, the speed of work slows down, we may make mistakes, short-term memory becomes weak, mental energy is wasted, our creative intellect erodes and we cannot work with full focus. Research shows that our energy to give attention is limited, task switching wastes a lot of our energy and makes us tired more quickly. Single tasking reduces stress, enables constructive work with better focus. The solution to this is to have a daily schedule and time for each task. Stay away from distractions. *Multitasking is a myth. Avoid it for the activities needing focus.* Source : unknown to Compiler.
